Creating Clarity: How RACI and Canto Helped Tree House Work Smarter (On Demand)

Recorded On: 10/07/2026

This course is part of Maddie's Community Conversations, weekly webcasts for the animal welfare field supporting pets in our community and animal shelters.

Speakers from Tree House Humane Society
Samantha Alspaugh, Intake and Foster Program Manager
Katie Jordan, Associate Director, Marketing & Communications

This presentation explores how one shelter uses RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) models and Canto’s digital asset management (DAM) system to strengthen collaboration, improve efficiency, and support marketing and promotional efforts. Attendees will learn how clearly defined roles and responsibilities, combined with a centralized library of photos, videos, graphics, and other digital assets, can streamline workflows, reduce duplication, and make it easier for staff to access and share the right content.

The presentation also highlights how Canto supports marketing and promotions by helping teams quickly find, organize, and distribute on-brand assets for campaigns, social media, events, fundraising, and community outreach. Through practical examples and lessons learned, attendees will gain strategies for connecting people, processes, and technology to create more efficient and effective shelter operations and communications.

This webinar has been pre-approved for .75 Certified Animal Welfare Administrator continuing education credits by The Association for Animal Welfare Advancement and by the National Animal Care & Control Association (CAWA and NACA).

Tree House Humane Society

Katie Jordan is the Associate Director of Marketing & Communications at Tree House Humane Society, where she leads marketing, communications, and brand strategy for Chicago’s only cat-focused humane society.
