  • Registration Closed

Do you want to learn ways to ensure that each animal at your shelter or rescue receives the medical care, kindness, and solicitude that we would give our own pets? On a tight budget? Are you interested in learning how to systemize medical treatment and implement lifesaving protocols? If you want to learn how to balance quality care with caring for a large volume of animals then the Shelter Clinic Management Online Apprenticeship is for you.

This apprenticeship is taught by Jordana Moerbe, Maddie's Medical Program Advisor at American Pets Alive!. The apprenticeship will teach you how to manage a busy shelter clinic including communication both within the team and with other teams, staffing, increase your organization’s capacity for medical foster care through effective communication and telemedicine, and triage contagious diseases. This learning opportunity is for clinic leaders who are interested in learning how to be most effective at implementing this type of program in their organization.

To be accepted to this apprenticeship, your organization must be a U.S. based 501c3 or government animal welfare organization. At this time, we are unable to accept applications from U.S. territories. Students must be able to access the online learning materials on Maddie's University and attend four weekly 90-minute Zoom meetings at 4 pm Pacific/7 pm Eastern each Monday starting March 29.
