The Paw Shop Presents: Basic Dog Coat Care for Animal Welfare Organizations

This course is designed to help shelter staff, volunteers and foster caregivers support the skin and coat health of the dogs in their care. 

After successfully completing this course you will be able to:

• Identify coat types and their specific care needs
• Recognize the basic tools for coat care including brushes, combs, shampoos and conditioners
• Be prepared to refer a dog to a veterinarian and/or professional groomer
• Brush, bathe and dry a dog
• Know where to find more information on cooperative care techniques
